Minimum Acceptable Diet and its Associated Factors among Children Aged 6–23 Months in Indonesia

This study aimed to assess the fulfillment of Minimum Dietary Diversity for children (MDD), Meal Frequency (MMF), and Acceptable Diet (MAD) analyze correlation between individual, socioeconomic, demographic characteristics MAD in ages 6 23 months Indonesia. used a cross-sectional design. The subjects were 798 Indonesia from National Total Study. data collection on MDD, MMF, twenty-four-hour dietary recall. chi-square multiple logistic regression models applied this with p-value<0.05 considered significant predictors outcome variables. met by 63.9%, 91.3%, 61.8% children, respectively. Significant positive relationships child's age, mother's educational status, area residence (p<0.001) MAD. determinants factors age (p<0.05; OR=7.06; 95% CI:3.46–14.38) OR=1.61; CI:1.19–2.15). In conclusion, it is still necessary improve (a combined indicator MDD MMF). government's role provide balanced nutritional child feeding programs based local food, strengthen behavior change communication meet nutritionally complementary foods nutrition services at posyandu.
